A Closer look at the Root (Base) Chakras The
Root Chakra is the foundation upon which every other body system relies for
stability. It is the primary source of usable energy, drawn upon in times of
danger to supply energy and physical solutions to life threatening situations.
The root chakra is vital if we are to keep a grip on reality. A block in this
chakra can lead to feelings of unreality, isolation and of not being able to
cope. You may feel a sense of pointlessness and an inability to achieve goals.
Centering and grounding are key attributes of the root chakra, establishing us
firmly with our physical system, alerting us to the world around us and
protecting our energies from depletion.
Problems with the feet and legs, movement, and coordination might indicate a
need to work with this Chakra. This chakras ability to ground excess energy as

physically, to let go of worries and to focus on the enjoyment of the present
